Second Regional Auditions of the 2019 African Freestyle Football Championship Takes Place in Warri.

We concluded our second regional audition which took place at Brownhill Event Centre, Ogunu Warri on Sunday, 30th June 2019.

Street dance champion, Poco Lee, who hosted the Lagos edition continues as host alongside hyper-energetic VeeJay CrazyLife as co-host.

We attracted over 50 young male and female football freestylers residing in Warri and neighbouring states. They all assembled at the event centre to showcase their skills, competing for the prizes of N100,000, N75,000 and N50,000 Naira for the first, second and third positions respectively across the male and female category.

Nigerian Freestyle champion of 2018, Blessed Ezeakabudu returned for this year’s regional audition, earning the winning title for the Warri audition after going head to head with several other freestylers.

Three-time Ghana freestyle football champion and Africa member of the World Freestyle Football Association, Joel Asare presided as a judge at the event alongside Abass Suara and Coach and Team Manager, Warri Wolves FC & Delta UTD FC.

In the male category we had Blessed Ezeakabudu, Godwin Omoghene and Tonye Solomon emerged as winners in the first, second and third place respectively, while on the female category Igwe Onyinye, Idika Chika and Peters Favour emerged winners in the first second and third place respectively.

Our guests were also entertained with a competition where freestylers of all ages displayed their talent by fusing music, dance and football on the stage alongside Poco Lee, in addition to some exciting musical performances by Dj Phat, Raybekah and T-West.

Our guests were given a beautiful body and face paints by Edward Isaac.

Participants emerging from the qualifying rounds will contest at the finals which will be held between September 14th and 15th, 2019, at the Balmoral Convention Centre, Federal Palace Hotel in Lagos, Nigeria.
